2nd European Ecotourism Conference was held in Romania last week.
It had a main focus on ecotourism destinations in European context.

Declaration was formed, find it here:

So what to you think about 5 pillars of "ecotourism destinations" within European reality? What is relevant?
What is not?
Do we miss something important in the concept of ecotourism destinations?

I think the problem with Estonia is that we haven't yet set the mark in Europe's consciousness for being safe, attractive, reasonably priced and moct compact biodiversity in Europe. This is something that is must be done by tourism board and/or organizations, individual comapnies won't ever get the reach of spreading that message.

This project has been funded with support from the European Commission.

The European Ecotourism Knowledge Network (ECOLNET) is a 3-year project (2010-2013) co-financed by the European Commission, Lifelong Learning Programme, Transversal Programmes, Key Activity 3-ICT Networks.
